AC Volt Amps=The AC energy that must be available to operate a device. Uninterruptible power supplies are commonly rated in AC Volt Amps.
 =AC Watts / Power Factor

Power Factor=0.95 for supplies with power factor correction as with the SmartSwitch 9000 PSM.
 =0.90 for all other products unless otherwise indicated.
 =0.66 for MMAC/MMAC_FNB and Standalone products.
 =0.60 for ATX Hub products.

BTUs=The amount of heat generated by a device as it is operated is expressed in British Thermal Units per Hour.
 =AC Watts x (3.413 BTUs per AC Watt)

AC Watts=The amount of AC energy consumed by a device.
 =AC Volt Amps x Power Factor
