| AC Volt Amps | = | The AC energy that must be available to operate a device. Uninterruptible power supplies are commonly rated in AC Volt Amps. |
| | = | AC Watts / Power Factor |
| Power Factor | = | 0.95 for supplies with power factor correction as with the SmartSwitch 9000 PSM. |
| | = | 0.90 for all other products unless otherwise indicated. |
| | = | 0.66 for MMAC/MMAC_FNB and Standalone products. |
| | = | 0.60 for ATX Hub products. |
| BTUs | = | The amount of heat generated by a device as it is operated is expressed in British Thermal Units per Hour. |
| | = | AC Watts x (3.413 BTUs per AC Watt) |
| AC Watts | = | The amount of AC energy consumed by a device. |
