Power Requirements and BTU

The following Power and BTU tables are intended for use in determining UPS [uninterruptible power supply] requirements and cooling system requirements when using Enterasys products. The figures in the following tables are "typical" values and may vary slightly due to variations in rev levels, input voltages, power quality, etc. These variations do not have a significant impact on overall conclusions.

AC Volt Amps is used to indicate the input power requirement of a Hub, Media Interface Module (MIM) or Plug In Module (PIM) product. British Thermal Units (BTU) is used to rate the thermal energy generated by the hub, MIM or PIM device. Heat output is expressed in BTU per hour. 1 Watt of dissipation is equal to 3.413 BTU per hour.
