Getting Started

Create Your Web Account

  1. Visit Web Account Registration.

  2. Fill in ALL fields contact number, address and city (mandatory).

  3. Fill in ALL fields for Primary Contact (mandatory).

  4. Fill in ALL fields for Secondary and Tertiary contacts (optional).

  5. More than three? Enter a group email address for Tertiary contact.

  6. Click "Submit Web Account Registration" button.

  7. The account is immediately created, a password generated and emailed to the three contacts.

    The mail message will be from LANCare/Availability Services@enterasys.com and for security reasons will say only (for example) "Your password is sFd43Hzy".

    If you still have a problem at this point, please see Web Account Problems before proceeding.

    Please be sure your email address is correct, so we can send you a password and notify you of new firmware releases.

    If you do not know your addressing information, please contact the your Support Services representative.

    Please add the Enterasys Web Account as an action item to your management tasks to handle staff changes associated with Web accounts. This will help ensure the accuracy of Contacts and email addresses listed in the account profile and protect the confidentiality of your Web Account.

Accessing Firmware and Software Libraries

  1. Visit the Download Library page.
  2. Select the product family to view all products and the current firmware.
  3. Click the version number hot link to obtain that firmware.
  4. Or, click the Archives hot link to view all versions of firmware for that product.
  5. The following dialog box will popup.
  6. Login using the contract number as the username and the password you were emailed.

    Both contract number and password are case sensitive.

Account Administration Options

Please visit the Firmware Access Account Administration page to change your password and check the accuracy of your Account Profile (contacts), especially email addresses. When a new image is released or the password is changed each contact will receive an automated email message. You have the option of turning off that feature in the account profile for the Secondary and Tertiary users.

The Account Administration screen offers the following services:

  • Change Your Password
    Allows you to change the password on your LANCare/Availability Services Web account. We suggest that you reset the password which is emailed to you, choosing something easy to remember. Your password must be at least 6 alphanumeric characters long, and contain at least one letter and one number.

  • Change Your Account Profile
    Allows you to change the contacts listed on the account. If the email address is entered incorrectly, the users will not receive notifications of password changes or new firmware announcements.

  • Update Your Group Access
    The web account database requests verification of contract status from the corporate database. Coverage will be added for products that have been added to the corporate database since the last audit. Likewise, coverage will be removed for products no longer covered. Please note: all web accounts are automatically audited at the beginning of each month. An Authentication Failure message will be returned for product not covered when you log in. Please report all conflicts to LANCare/Availability Services@enterasys.com.

  • Switch to another account
    Allows you to login using a different account, in the case that you have more than one.
