T2015 Jumper and Switch Settings

HELP: Board Views, Hardware Tables.

The T2015 DNI card has the following jumpers, switches, and remote boot proms:

Setting the T2015 Parameters

Before you use the T2015, you must set the card's I/O (Input/Output) base address. The I/O address is set through a pair of dip switches on the front of the DNI bracket.

Figure 1. Setting the I/O Base Address

Select the I/O base address for the board using the following settings:

0A20 - both switches to the right.

0A80 - top switch to the left and bottum switch to the right.

1A20 - top switch to the right and bottom switch to the left.

1A80 - both switches to the left.

Setting the Clock Source Jumper

You will need to set the Clock Source Jumper (JP1) if your PC requires the adapter to be synchronous with the system bus clock, instead of asynchronous timing which is used with most computers. Check your PC's manual for more information. In most computers, the DNI Card will use its own clock source, meaning it is running in the asynchronous mode. If the DNI Card uses the system's clock source, the board will be running in the synchronous mode. JP1 is used to select which source clock will be used. For most AT-compatibles, you will not have to change this jumper.

Figure 2. Setting the Clock Source Jumper

Set the bus timing jumper as follows:

Place the shunt over pins 1 and 2 to use an asynchronous clock source (default setting).

Place the shunt over pins 2 and 3 to use a synchronous clock source.
