E1100 Jumper and Switch Settings
HELP: Board View , Hardware Tables.
The E1100 DNI card has the following jumpers, switches, and remote boot prom:
Setting The Board Select Jumper
This jumper allows you to set the I/O (Input/Output) base address that identifies the DNI Card to the PC. The I/O address is a hexidecimal field that distinguishes the DNI Card from other cards in the PC. The two shunts are supplied with the jumper in the event you want to use the 220H address setting.
Figure 1. Setting the I/O Base Address
Select the Base I/O address by placing the shunts on JP1 as follows:
Select I/O 380 by leaving all pins open.
Select I/O 300 by using one shunt over 3 and 4.
Select I/O 280 by using one shunt over 1 and 2.
Select I/O 220 by using both shunts over pins 1 and 2, and over pins 3 and 4.
Setting the Boot Prom Jumper, JP2
Note: This jumper should be set ONLY if the Boot Prom is resident on the board. We recommend you follow the CNOV-EBP Remote Boot Prom Installation Instructions before setting either JP1 or JP2 when a boot prom is being used.
