Bloomington Hospital & Healthcare System
A not-for-profit regional referral center serving a patient base of 363,000 in nine counties in south-central Indiana, Bloomington Hospital & Healthcare System receives nearly 17,000 annual admissions and more than 55,000 emergency department visits per year. This kind of patient volume requires top-notch business systems and back-end processes, supported by a high-performance, flexible network infrastructure. That's why Bloomington looked to Enterasys and an X-Pedition, Matrix and RoamAbout solution.

HealthNet
HealthNet turned to Enterasys to transition their shared FDDI backbone to a switched FDDI backbone to deliver the bandwidth required to accomplish their networking goals, while preserving their investment in FDDI equipment and providing a clear migration path to more robust solutions.

Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH) (pdf)
With a planned expansion that would create a nearly 5,000-bed facility, combined with an increased use of digital imaging and telemedicine applications, PUMCH needed to upgrade its hospital-wide network to keep pace with growth while preserving the highest standards of care. The hospital also needed to support other upcoming initiatives, including a new building for outpatients, an emergency center, surgery rooms and a building for obstetrics and gynecology services.
