Before you make too many decisions on your network, it’s important to know how well it’s currently supporting your enterprise.

Enterasys’ Professional Services organization can perform long-term trending and analysis of IP protocol, application and bandwidth usage at critical network aggregation points. By leveraging the traffic flow collection and analysis capabilities of Enterasys’ Dragon® Network Defense, we will collect detailed network, protocol and statistical information. This information is then reviewed to identify a number of common networking issues, including Wide Area Network (WAN) link saturation, slow application response time and undesirable application usage.

Enterasys Professional Services and our certified partners are network design and troubleshooting experts who will work directly with your IT staff to assess network performance and provide recommendations for improvement.

  • Meet with enterprise IT personnel to define network monitoring and analysis goals
  • Collaborate with enterprise IT personnel to determine specific network segments to be analyzed and where to place Dragon Flow Collectors
  • Deploy Dragon Network Defense on the chosen network segments and provide remote access to Enterasys Professional Services
  • Leverage data collected from initial traffic flows to determine the specific IP network hierarchy and applications traversing the monitored network segment
  • Determine with IT staff the specific protocols and applications that are to be considered undesirable
  • Provide analytical report on traffic/ bandwidth characteristics by application, IP network, top IP clients and servers, and undesirable protocols based on a 7-day traffic collection period
  • Provide final reports on bandwidth utilization, network hierarchy, applications and undesirable protocols
