End-of-Sales-Life and End-of-Service-Life Products
Periodically, it becomes necessary to end the production and distribution of certain products. The decision to discontinue a product is based on a number of factors, including the availability of certain manufacturing components needed to continue production, a third-party manufacturer’s product discontinuation, or the introduction of a newer product with more advanced features and functionality.
The End-of-Service-Life Policy defines when support and updates are no longer available for a product. For complete details, refer to the End-of-Service-Life policy.
The End-of-Sales-Life Policy defines when a product is no longer available to be purchased. This policy applies only to End-of-Sales-Life notices made on or after December 31, 2000 . The Policy does not apply to any product that may have reached end of sales life prior to that date. For complete details, refer to the End-of-Sales-Life Policy.
